Learning Spanish- Word by Word and Day by Day

Posted on January 23, 2008. Filed under: Spanish Tips |

Here’s a thought learning a Spanish word a day. For example, just pick a work, let’s say apple- then read abut the meaning and translation (manzana), write sentences about it, repeat the word many, many times. Read sentences that include the word-I am sure by just doing a Google search with the word in Spanish you will find plenty of material to be busy for the whole day. For example, try this search ‘oraciones que contengan la palabra manzana’ (just copy this sentence and and paste it in the Google search box).

The next day pick another word, any word will do. Just keep doing this for 30 days and then review your vocabulary at the end of the period and see how many of those words you were able to retain. Once you’ve done this incorporate the words you have learn in different sentences and you will amaze yourself of how many more words you will have in your repertoire.

Also, you can use on-line references in order to look up definitions and translations. Just do a Goggle search for Spanish-English dictionary and you will get a bunch of links you can click on and keep on your way.
